ok so this is gonna be a vent post, no advice needed really, just need to put it somewhere.
May was brutal. Like the worst run I've had in a while. Started the month with maybe 200 set aside for fun money and it just... evaporated. Couple weeks of nothing, no decent hit, no bonus rounds, the reels just kept laughing at me.
The dumb part is I know better. Low stakes guy, always have been. But you chase a little, then a little more, and suddenly it's the 28th and you're staring at a zero balance wondering where it went.
Not in trouble or anything, I keep a deposit limit set so it can't get ugly. Just frustrated. Anyone else have a month where the variance just hates you personally? misery loves company i guess

Good on you for the deposit limit, seriously. That's the thing that keeps a bad month from turning into a bad year.
Variance doesn't hate you personally, it just doesn't care about you at all, which somehow feels worse. Take the loss, walk away for a bit. If chasing is creeping in, set the limit lower next month or just sit out. No shame in that.

Yeah man, slots can go cold for ages, that's just the nature of high variance games. If you're playing the swingy ones you can go a long stretch with nothing then one session catches it all back, or not.
Might be worth dropping to lower volatility stuff for a while if you want your money to last longer. Less of a roller coaster. Doesn't fix the month but it's easier on the nerves.

appreciate you both. honestly just saying it out loud helps.
gonna sit out the first week of June, let the wallet recover and the brain too. lower volatility is probably the move when i come back, the swingy ones got me good this time.
