Re: The most superstitious thing you do before you spin

Back in the day at the live tables I had a chip I'd tap on the felt twice before a hand. Carried that habit to online somehow, now I tap the table twice before a deal, like the screen can feel it.

It cannot. I know this. Still tap. Forty years of doing it, not stopping now.

Re: No deposit and free spin offers, which are worth it vs a trap

Free spins are free the way a free puppy is free. Somebody's paying for it later and it's usually your patience.

That said the longer windows do make some of them clearable. I just don't bother chasing the 24 hour ones anymore, life's too short.

Re: Before you sign up at an offshore site, read this

<t>Been around long enough to have seen a couple of these places blink out overnight. One week fine, next week the site is a parked domain and the support email bounces.<br/>

No regulator to call, like Pete says. You just shrug and learn.<br/>

My two cents, keep it small and keep it fun ...

Re: six months at one regulated site, the honest pros and cons

Six months and six clean cashouts. That's a better track record than most banks give me, ha.

The weekend support thing is universal at this point, I've stopped expecting anything before Monday. Plan your problems for Tuesday.

Solid report.

Re: How i vet a casino before depositing a cent

<t>Old man checklist is shorter. If I can't find a phone number or a real human in support, I don't deposit. Learned that the slow way back in the day.<br/>
<br/>
License in the footer, sure. But a license and a dead support line still means your money is stuck, just legally stuck.<br/>

<t>Done it more than once over the years. The phone-in-the-hand thing you described is the realest part. We don't miss the gambling, we miss the fidget.<br/>

A few states just killed sweeps, where does that leave the rest of us

<t>So the sweeps map keeps shrinking. New York pulled the plug back in December, California followed in January, and a few others are making noise.<br/>
<br/>
For those of us in states with no legal online casino, sweeps was the clean legal path. Now I am watching it get chipped away and wondering ...

<t>Older guy, live tables. If it doesn't have a real dealer I lose interest fast.<br/>

Been at this longer than some of you have been alive probably. My advice for the newbies, read the footer, see who licenses the place. State regulator good, the offshore stuff you're on your own if it goes ...

Re: Which sites actually paid you fastest this year

Fastest I ever got paid was a paper check that took 12 days. I'm kidding, that was the slowest, my sense of humor is broken.

Real answer, the e-wallet on my regulated app, few hours. Checks are the dark ages, avoid if you can.

beyond the welcome bonus, what actually makes you rate a site

<t>Recommend me a way to think about this, because I've been at this long enough to be suspicious of my own habits.<br/>
<br/>
Everybody rates sites by the welcome bonus. Biggest match, most free spins, whatever. And look, I get it, it's the shiny thing. But the bonus is a one-time event and then ...
